Media conglomerate Viacom18, which is entering the Tamil market with GEC Colors Tamil on 19 February, plans to have a portfolio of channels in the Tamil market. The company sees movies, and kids as potential genres for expanding the portfolio. It also sees an opportunity in launching a second GEC.

Colors Tamil Will Give Tough Challenge For Star Vijay & Zee Tamil!

As I Observe Star Vijay Programs Bit Boring Nowadays!

Star Vijay knows how to retain that top spot.Recently major changes made in their Daily Schedule and Tamil Kadavul Murugan moved to 6 PM and reduced to 30 mins and by doing this they say request from the viewers to telecast early is taken care of and silently the duration is reduced to 30 mins to accomadate one more serial.

Then they telecast movies on weekends & Special days too early intelligently avoiding clashes with others on the other hand Zee on trying to capture that Sunday 4 PM slot losing out big to old Vijay Movies from Sun TV.

Then recently the Super Singer vs Saregamapa Clash on Weekends clearly shows Star Vijay has the Upper hand.

Star Vijay effortlessly recovered from the intial slips early this year and going strong and Zee Tamil's only weakness is they need to try to compete with Star Vijay rather than Sun TV.

So Colors Tamil should first try to come in Top 5 & then Aim at top Spot,First two spots almost sealed 3,4 & 5 somewhat unstable lets see what kind of effect Colors Tamil create among Tamilnadu Viewers.
