Before Fifa WC in November the company will launch all its regional sports Channels its fair to say 8-10 sports Channels .

Exclusive: Regional space to play a major role in Viacom18’s sports plans

Media conglomerate Viacom18 has big plans to create a splash in the sports broadcasting space. The aim is to have nine to ten channels including regional channels. According to sources, the languages being considered include Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

I don't know why people gets sad when broadcaster launch channel in Other languages.
Even Hindi is also one of the regional language.

People who wants to watch in their language,they will subscribe and watch particular channel.

Its Star Sports clone only all team members n heads are now from Star Sports network only

This is waste move, like star ..they are launched so many SD channel's. We can not see that channel's above 32" LED TVs. earlier only one HD channel with so many regional channel's. Now we see regional commentary in SD only... Waste of space...worst moves by channel's. Even their channel's not in at least 16:9 aspect ratio. (Except Sony).

Hahaha, how freaking willful. They'd use multiple audio feeds and force advertisers to offer textless ads like in Europe so everybody can understand the ad in the secondary audio feed.

More Channels more ads & Subscription revenue for the broadcaster

They can generate same revenue by providing language feeds. More channel required more staff members too.

True it's beneficial only if they regularly keep spending in local tournaments and keep channel price below 2 rupees.

It's a true fact.Hindi is one of regional language for South people.their is nothing wrong in that.Main reason for inclusion is ,you people have supported lot to launch of Sports18 Khel,but why not others languages.


Audio feeds won't work.,90% of people don't know how to change audios is dths.
Even having audio feeds cable operators won't provide audio feeds.it have lot of issues
