videocon d2h HD recording firmware finally updated

Does it get updated for all users or they are still lagging in update???
I am in Chennai and till now it didn't get updated friends!!!

What I was told by the technician that it will be released for me specially. Because I had raised a reuqest, my dvr used to freeze...and then i needed to switch off the power to get back...this has been happening for many people.

He adjusted my signals (although it was strong already), and then said, download id 43 will be released for me. but no news till now...

is Ur HD Zapper or HD DVR?

My videocon d2h HD STB was updated sucessfully with recording firmware 4 days back.

But unfortunately to enable recording there will be some subscription charge, which the customer care people are still unaware of, but this new firmware has resurfaced an old issue; once the STB is turned on, channel no. 100 is played as default. will keep posted

Since this is my post, I'm not able to upload images.

As per one of my friends who is working with D2h, has told that for HD Zapper, recording cost will be Rs. 30 per month.

I think Rs 30 is not too much but why this additional cost?

Just for testing connected my 16GB pendrive, got an option for formatting & once it was done the STB got rebooted & options for recording were shown on pressing the information key(though not able to record anything due to subscription); & as suspected after connecting the same pendrive to laptop, windows was not able to recognize it & was asking for formatting, so it seems that the STB is using some proprietary file system & we wont be able to transfer the recorded content on PC.
Also now getting 1080i @ 60Hz

I was not able to find 'Dolby out is thru HDMI' anywhere in the setup & presently i don't have an AV receiver either

Mine is dvr. So recording already there. My prob is freeze problem. They have not yet updated the firmware for me. For hd box recording option, others can update us.

Bro Try the same Pen Drive on Linux System you won't be disappointed.. It will open it without formatting..
