G8 news brother 28 SD and 7 HD channels space available in d2h TP.

11164 H can accommodate 8 SD channels or 2 HD channels more as all other TPs are able to take 50 - 52 SD channels.

The total count becomes 32 SD + 0 HD or 8 HD + 0 SD or 4 HD + 16 SD or any other combination.

1 HD ~ 4 SD ~ 40 Radio/Banner channels

@Vadi How did you come to know about the unactivated TPs.

Sometime back someone was saing D2H going to have 500 channels by Diwali. Currently D2H has 394 channels (excluding audio feeds n all). To make it 500 they definitely need two more TPs.

If thats true then we can expect more regional channels on d2h. Competition to Zing!!!

AFAIK ST2 has 40+ TPs and less than 30 are in use. Hopefully they should be able to get more TPs when needed unlike other DTH operators who are facing space crunch in single satellite and looking to expand to multi satellites.
