Star asianet doesn't sound good like Vijay & maa.

Vijay & maa both has some meaning. Vijay means win & maa means ours in telugu.

Also their other brands are not like zee & colors. They always gets creative name like pravah in marathi & jalsha in bangla. Not like zee marathi, zee bangla.

Instead star will get some creative name as brand in Malayalam to rebrand the network.

And about people's image for channel which has been in their mind since the 1992 will be changed with time.

ETV's old channels like etv marathi, bangla, kannada rebranded as colors marathi, bangla, kannada.

People accepted it with time :tup

Nopes, they wont. Asianet is a popular name since long so they wont try to remove it and lose their identity.

To really claim "Tamil Pride" they have to first make "Super Singer"& "Super Singer Junior" a real Tamil program and include a real Tamil specialised judge in their judge panel. Now except Tamil songs there is not much of Tamil in these programmes.
Also every time these programmes lands in tons of controversies.
When A.R.Rahman was the special judge at final the results were excellent quite opposite to those promoted by judge, even this year SivaKarthikeyan as special judge for finals seems ok as people vote won.
