Dual Ilayathalapathy bonanza after 5 years?

After the release of Jilla, Vijay is now all set to focus on his next film with A.R.Murugadoss, the director who delivered that blockbuster Thuppakki with the Ilayathalapathy. Anirudh will score music for this film while George Williams will handle the camera. Samantha is touted to play the female lead role while 'Ethir Neechal' fame Sathish is also part of the movie.

With murmurs in the industry about a possible double action role for Vijay in this film, Behindwoods investigated a little further on the subject and found that there are chances of this becoming true. But with directors being secretive of even the smallest detail of a movie, we will have to perhaps wait till the release date to know if this buzz is indeed true.

The last time Vijay did a dual role was in the Prabhu Deva movie Villu in 2009. Will Vijay repeat the feat after 5 years for A.R.Murugadoss?

When the actor and director gave Thuppaki with a single Vijay on screen, imagine if there are two ? 'Athiradi' !!

Vijay and AR Murugadoss project- Right on time

As planned, Vijay and director Murugadoss’ next project goes on floors today (3rd February 2014). The team is in Kolkata for the shoot and the schedule is expected to go on for a few days. Following that, the next set of shoot will happen in Chennai from the 12th of February, say sources.

Jointly produced by Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions, the movie is being planned to be wrapped up in 5 months. Anirudh will score for the movie and George C Williams of Raja Rani fame will helm the camera.

It is also speculated that Vijay might have a dual character and that the movie could be a Diwali 2014 release.

AN ACTION-PACKED BEGINNING FOR VIJAY : ‪VIJAY57‬

Director AR Murugadoss has kickstarted his next film Vijay in Kolkata. The pooja launch of the yet-to-be-titled film was held recently in the famous Kali temple in the city. A source close to the film’s unit tells us, “The shooting will go on for 10 more days, and Murugadoss is currently canning an important action sequence with Vijay and a few stuntmen there. Samantha, who is playing the female lead in the film, is expected to join the team in the next schedule.”
Like their previous combination Thuppakki, this film is also said to be high on action. While Anirudh will be composing the songs for the film, Anal Arasu is handling the stunts..
