The people who are saying that it is Airtel who is is behind all this......i really feel pity for them..... Why would airtel do this ..... Airtel also know that they will lose lot of customers if they do something like increasing from 200rs to 1000rs.....

In this thread some people support star network. Then why argue here just take an alacarte as per star asking amount and view your desired channel.
Normally dth industry give popular channels in all low base packs for attract to get customers. After that based on trp and channel views the channel network asking new rates based on dth subscribers in the next renewal agreements. This is the normal procedure follwed long time in the industry. So on that we got some price hike also in base packs. But now the situation is tough to get market to acquire cable digitisation period. So dth companies not accept the new aggrement and remove channels from the base pack.

Star is asking airtel customers to switch too other dth in that they mention tatasky and sun direct....tatasky being a subsidiary they wont have hiked the price but what about sun direct have ur package price gone up???? i think sun direct just renewed their contract with star has ur price gone up???easily Star or airtel can take each other in court and put defamatory case if either party r at fault as both r big brands in india
