Breaking W.e.f 1st April 2018, Star Network Channels will be removed from base pack

Star is asking airtel customers to switch too other dth in that they mention tatasky and sun direct....tatasky being a subsidiary they wont have hiked the price but what about sun direct have ur package price gone up???? i think sun direct just renewed their contract with star has ur price gone up???easily Star or airtel can take each other in court and put defamatory case if either party r at fault as both r big brands in india

Issue could be package problem. Recently two sports channels ss1 hindi& tamil are added in lowest pack in Sun Direct.

That's the million dollar question. But if you believe star then they are saying they have not hiked price and offering chs at same price to Airtel which star provided to other operators mentioned in ad. Now it's upto us who we believe

Star has not increased the channel tariff (MRP / channel if u like).. but from the disconnection notice AD released in February by star, it is apparent that it is demanding more money from Airtel for continuing with its channels in Airtel packs... It is matter of individual judgement as how to read into it. My understanding is star indirectly forcing Airtel to hike rates...

i think star has not increased tariff, but Previously airtel maybe getting some Discount from Star.. as relation between Star and Airtel was very good... but now maybe Star is not willing to give that Discount...

Personally I have no problem I got sms that star plus HD, Star movies HD, star jalsha HD, Star sports 1 HD, Star gold and star jasha will be free for my base pack. So I have no problem. Main Star 4 HD free for me.

This looks totally illegal to ask subscribers from one DTH to move to another via the same DTH feed. Also looks too cheap from a world class brand. Grownups fight shouldn't get too low like Politics.

I think there should be a strong legal way for Airtel (or any DTH in that case) to counter such cheap actions from any channel and i hope they take such move and bring this to an end.

Star should have made such advertisements on Dailies and not on someones proprietary feed.
