As far as i remember Zee network had first launched 3 channels long back in around 2004 - 05 namely Action Cinema , Premiere Cinema, Classic Cinema exclusively on dishtv with one interval break.

Gradually there name was later changed to Zee Action, Zee premiere & Zee classic and was available with both dth & cable operators then. But their license name are still old

I was in Pilani (a small town in Rajasthan) when I saw these channel on cable TV for first time. Whereas, in Jaipur we don't have these channel on analogue cable TV. Many years after when we bought STB we get to see these channel.

I think zee action should have been re branded as zee cinema 2 a pure bollywood movie channel where they can bring old concepts like namaste cinema, 1 ka 3 platinum, double maza, movie of the month, cinema klub, Thursday horror movie, viewer's choice movie. Etc etc.

Gone those days bro, nowadays movies start randomly on any random time, mostly South dubbed movies are being telecasted despite having huge Bollywood library, ads increased, no. Of channels increased so repetition also increased, no fun left in watching movies on TV channels
