No.1 runs for only 31mins while indian idol runs for 107mins. Thats the main reason indian idol has a wider reach, longer runtime naturally allows more viewers to tune in, leading to higher reach.

I dont think rch represents the total number of viewers who tuned in during the entire week. Instead, it seems to be calculated as the avg rch based on the number of telecasts in that week.

For ex, if a show airs for 7 days, the weekly rch is likely derived from the avg rch of those 7 telecasts, rather than the cumulative number of viewers.

If we counted the total number of people who watched the show at least once during the week, that number would be much higher than what is shown in weekly rch figures.
