Conical scalar ring is used to receive better signal when you install your C band or C/Ku band LNBF on an offset satellite dish. The conical scalar ring is specifically designed for an offset satellite dish rather than a price focus dish. It's very similar to the Ku band scalar rings that you see on the LNBF. The conical scalar ring basically converts the LNBF from a prime focus LNBF to an offset satellite dish LNBF.
