Using TS since 2007 no problem faced yet (except the recent sony issue, which has solved now), very good CC & service.
I would recommend you to go for TS, you will not regret.
& After new trai rule TS will going to rule the market for sure.

Buy Tata Sky after they start following TRAI new rules. Otherwise, go for Dish TV NXT latest model box which u can use on for Dish TV as well as for D2H satellite.

You should wait till 29/30 December & then compare the DTHs rate & select the one which suits you the most. But, if you are thinking of Tata Sky then no need to wait you can go now also because they're not going to implement new tarrif before 10 Jan.
By the way, all the mentioned channels are not available on any DTH. TS is having all the mentioned channels except 9XO & airtel is also having all the mentioned channels except Vh1 HD.

What are the installation charges?

As of now no installing charge. U have to buy the STB Rs 2200 for HD. U will get installation and 10 meters cable free after which Rs 12 per extra meter.

After 29th December I don't know how the installation charges will be

Not only TS, ADTV also has time till 10 January. But as per the scroll put by TS on home channel, they have said few days they will take and call users to migrate to new packs.

Few days may be 29th and not 10th I feel
