Which FTA receiver should I buy?

Hi I am Debjit from Kolkata,this is my first post in this forum.
I just got interested in this satellite stuff,and I want to buy a FTA receiver (I use Airtel Digital TV),this is my first time so a bit cheap one will be good as I will just experiment with it a lot ....so what should I must look while purchasing a FTA receiver, as far me I am considering looking at modulation type like DVB-S-QPSK /S2-QPSK/S2-8PSK MPEG2 should I consider anything more to simply receive FTA channels?:huh

And also if somebody can point me from where to buy it in Kolkata it will be very helpful

Right now I am using Airtel Digital TV :wall,the set top box supports FTA channels but at the location of SES7 not much FTA channels are available.I just got some but they are not coming its total black...:angry

Another question the Symbol Rate in Airtel Digital TV set top box is given like xx.xx for example if I input 2880 it takes 28.80,I think its ok as it means 28.8 mega symbol per second(MS/s) am I right?

U can buy SOLID-3000, which will support DVB-S2, MPEG4 formats and HD channels too.
U can get it for arnd Rs 2200- 2300 online.

There are other cheap boxes available as well, but considering it's advisable to spend a little more and buy a better product.

Boxes are available for as less as Rs 800 and as high as Rs 7000 for Dreambox... which are far superior than other boxes...

But in general , most members are having SOLID boxes, as its cheaper and has gud feautres as well. :k

Thanks but whats GUD feature is ? Is it the STB guide for programs and channels...
Any url for online website ,I will check my local place for SOLID and thanks for the name...

Edit : I was searching for SOLID and came up to magicdecoders are they good ?
As for now I am going for SOLID but suggestions are always welcome...
