Discussion Why do you think there is only 1 HD Music Channel in India ?

Leaving Mtv Beats HD there is no HD music channel in India. MTV HD is an useless channel. It shows everything else but no music.
Why do you think there is only 1 HD Music Channel in India ?
Who else feels disappointed ?

Actually the thing is that it all about carriage fee.
First broadcaster has to launch a SD Channel for SD Viewers and that also in FTA otherwise how will they grab eyeballs.
Similarly, for HD customer separate HD channel and that can't be FTA because of carriage fee in all platforms and who will subscribe to just one HD music channel.

I have no idea to able to say for sure that Mtv Beats HD is successful or not but they have both a SD channel & a HD channel.

Yes that's the thing. They are not even doing good in SD feed.

Charging that much for even regional entertainment and movies are also unethical. When production cost is much less than of bollywood.
