Why indian movie HD channels are not full screen like english movies hd

Most of the English GEC and movies channels telecast programs/movies in 16:9 aspect ratio suitable for LED TVs. On the other hand, Hindi GEC, news and movies channels telecast programs in 4:3 aspect ratio suitable for old CRT TVs.

Guess what? English channels assume that their viewers are more advanced and have LED TV, but Hindi channels do favor to CRT TV owners.

Wouldn't it be better if indian movie HD channels also telecast movies in 16:9 ratio on hd channels and 4:3 on sd channels as customers who have subscribed to hd mostly have led's. They need to move on with technology and give true hd experience for hd viewers.

Im wondering why indian movies hd channels dont run in full screen like english hd movie channels. They always have black bars on top and bottom which ruins the hd experience.

English movies are down converted to 16:9 and released, so there will be some quality loss from actual captured video.
