Widescreen Issue on Sports and Entertaiment Channels

Dear All Drem Members,

I have seen since using DTH service SD channels does not show Widescreen resolution. But before HD channels all matches even movie channels show Full screen resolution.

Narrow or widescreen resolution created by channels to differentiate HD or SD ?

even cable service this issue happened; this for promoting HD Subscription. Star sports channels provide only premier league matches full screen. sony six and kix matches very poor to watch and even can't read the score board. this is pathetic we will raise the issue.

yes bro its pathetic to see premier league matches and laliga in narrow screen.. Sony is also copying Star. But i remember some 5 to 6 years before there were no such things happened.

Tencricket NOW only channel which shows SD feed with full widescreen.

Same happening for RAM SLAM matches in SIX..and Aus - NZ matches in star...pathetic..

Dear Star Team,

I have to register a complaint regarding narrow screen issue on most of
your sports and entertainment channels.

Star Sports 1,2,3,4 show content in narrow screen format which make viewer
pathetic to see small screen resolution on LED and LCD.

Currently Aus vs NZ test match telecast on Start sorts 2 SD in narrow
screen format which is very pathetic to see.

Especially on sports STAR has got exclusive rights to telecast premier
league and Bundusliga. most of the matches telecast in narrow screen
resolution which is annoying for viewers.

I request to the concerned department must realize this issue and give your
viewers complete freedom to watch sport in wide screen format.

Due to HD channels demand it might be a move to increase or encourage
viewers to see HD channels but must be in mind that still there are many
sports matches can not be telecast in HD format. So SD channels must be
shown content which can be easily see by viewers.

I have example of Neo prime and tencricket they telecast matches on
widescreen format here HD quality can not be matched with SD but there must
be a way for the mass consumers to see sports and Entertainment channels
with full screen like some years go.
