You Can Record Channels in the background (DishTV) ... within their own groups.

I am less than a week newbie on DishTV Service.
I am disappointed that DishTV does not offer TRUE Background channel recordings (i'e you watch one channel and record ANY other one)
When i contacted Cus.Ser. they said point blank that you can only record the channel you are viewing.

BUT ...

YOU CAN ... record channels in the background PROVIDED you are viewing a channel from the same group as the channel you are recording.

Has anyone experienced this ?
So if it is YOUR lucky day ... where the channel you want to watch and record are from the same group ... then you might really enjoy the power of background recording.

I'll post the channel groups/pairs that will help you enjoy this option on DishTV ... shortly.

aiamuzz Bro Dishtv,sundirect,airtel hd stb means Usb Recording Only Because without inbuilt harddisk means Watch & Record Same Channel

But Videocon D2h,Airtel,Tatasky HDDVR Stb Means Watch One & Record Another Channel Option Available on HDDVR Set top Box

yes bro i think everyone knows that you can record a channel and watch other channel only if its from same frequency .......
