Zee in 2019 launched &xplor HD which has some of the best bollywood movies. This is where the problem lies. The channel is fairly priced at ₹4. But the problem is its distribution. It's only available in Airtel, Zee5 and handful of cable operators. It's not even available on Zee's own dth service Dish TV and D2h.

There is a huge library of movies like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Manmarziyan, Dear Zindagi, Swades, Dil Chahta Hai and many more gone unexplored because of the unavailability of &xplor HD on most platform. Zee needs to bring these movies from it's library on existing Zee's until distribution issue is fixed. These needs to be added to SD channel's library as well. They have too many channel but with airs repeated content. Movies not getting exposure is a waste of precious library.

So, what do you think about it?

Something will b done soon, &pictutes HD might become new home. Also sony needs to make Max HD ch for just bollywood movies or atleast launch separate ch for bollywood films including critically acclaimed ones on it
&pictures traditionally airs dubbed hollywood premiers. Seeing premiers of Kanchi and Freaky Ali it makes sense.

Whenever a new channel is added by a Broadcaster, DTH companies and MSO look for carriage opportunities or higher margin... I guess since Airtel and Zee are working on a strategic relationship hence it's available there. Even Zee5 was first made free on airtel's xStream platform users.

Other issue could be of space crunch on the platform... Couldn't think of any other issue.

Bro Dishtv and D2H are owned by Zee!!.If that was the case then why are all the Zee South HD Channels missing on D2H. The Non South channels like LF HD, &xplor HD are missing, also Zee Classic took a lot of time to be added on dishtv.

Dunno what's Zee's logic. Even on Siti Cable Assam which is partially owned by Zee. Zee's HD channels were missing until 2020 except for Zee Bangla HD.

Then Prima facie it could be due to space constraints on headend.... It needs money to upgrade it or, some Channel should be removed to adjust this channel. Everywhere it's money honey - Daya kuch toh gadbad hai !!

Even Zee tamil HD is not available on dish d2h.
Problem is not only in hindi also in telugu. zee playing many movies exclusively in Zee cinemalu hd. But that channel not available on their own platform d2h and dish tv.

Maybe the target customers for dish d2h is non hd viewership in rural areas with traditional tv units where hd content won't make sense
