Is there any chance for Rebranding Zee South Channels in Sony Name? That's why News section Claimed Popular Channel logos and names like Zee Tamil News, Zee Telugu News, Zee Kannada News instead of Adding suffix to Zee News or Zee Hindusthan.

"Zee Malayalam News" new Malayalam news channel from Zee Group. It's face book page already started.Anybody know about its Launching Date?

They have changed their Zee Hindustan (Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu) to respective Zee News channels. It was basically only an online news platform, Recently they have registered for 24/7 live channel also. First they might come on YouTube before TV telecast I guess.

Are they doing it on their own, or through partners? Because the Southern News Market is a cluttered one.

There are a lot of Tamil news channels in TN. The most viewed ones are News18 Tamilnadu, News7 Tamil and Sun News. I wonder how ZMCL will break even in this state.

ZMCL had a disastrous debut in the south with Zee Iravai Nalaku (24) Gantalu, the first southern news channel from the network via partnership. Now they are planning to re-enter the News Market of TS & AP again. No lessons learnt from the past, it seems.

Karnataka is also cluttered like TN. But they have a chance there. They have to compete with biggies like TV9 Kannada and Asianet Suvarna News.

And in Kerala, they will find it tough to sustain. Asianet News is a dominant player in Kerala.

Their earlier Telugu news channel Zee 24 gantalu was a flop and they had to shut it down.

Firstly they have to focus to improve their existing non hindi news channels rating e.g. Zee 24 Taas, Zee 24 Kalal, etc. In marathi Zee 24 Taas is pioneer of all marathi news channels but currently they lagged behind all.
