Zee Kannada HD recently reached top 10 kannada with 42 GRP. It's good move by the channel in positioning HD viewers too. With Zee picchar HD, they promote as the first Kannada Movie HD channel and can gain more viewers than current.

Some movies are being telecasted in a bad aspect ratio with huge black bars at top and bottom and bad PQ. At least, Zee Thirai telecasts latest movies in 16:9 ratio.

And now that Zee Picchar has renewed many old movies through Udaya TV; they can telecast latest movies in HD channel when old movies telecast on SD channel.

Udaya Movies HD may come first. Sun wants to be first in everything as far as HD channels are concerned (though Udaya HD was launched after Colors Kannada HD). Sun is already testing Udaya Movies HD, Surya Movies HD and Sun Bangla HD, and so it might want to beat Zee Picchar HD to the punch.
