MUMBAI: We are almost nearing the year end and interestingly there hasn’t been much change in the TAM TV ratings through the year. However, the Week 51 has been a good week overall for the general entertainment channels (GECs) as almost all the channels have witnessed a growth in its viewership.
As per the TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for week 51, Star Plus remains at the number one position with 599 million TVTs as compared to last week’s 579 million TVTs. Colors maintained its second position and reported 488 million TVTs, as compared to 449 million in week 50.
Zee TV saw a fall in the viewership at 409 million TVTs as compared to last week’s 439 million TVTs. Life OK was at the fourth position and witnessed a major hike in viewership as it registered 326 million TVTs as compared to 313 million TVTs last week. Sab, as usual remains to be at the fifth position; however the channel recorded hike in viewership with 309 million TVTs, as compared to 291 million TVTs last week.
Sony is still at the bottom of the list, at number six and even witnessed a dip in its ratings. It registered 255 million TVTs compared to 267 million TVTs last week.
