In whichever market Zee is strong they will continue to have Zee branding and Sony will have their branding in their strong zones.

They'll have a new Parent Company name kinda like Alphabet or Warner Bros. Discovery.

Initially, this was the strategy of vodafone idea merged company also but it didn't work. Single brand reduces expenses and also chaos amongst the customers. However, you never know what's in the mind of the management of the merged company. Different companies think differently.

These kind of names are given when they have not decided on the name but have to proceed with documentation, filling etc.

Not everytime. IMO such names are also given when they don't want to do branding of parent company. Eg- culver max, alphabet, meta, BBK electronics, etc
