Seriously they should cancel this merge, without merge both Zee and Sony in Good position, entertainment and Sports market needed some disruption to support small broadcasters.

Bro zee can any how if the merger got cancelled but it's impossible to Sony. They are losing many movies to other broadcasters. This merger is very important to Sony and zee both.

What's benefit? ZEE and Sony both are performing worst in GEC. Specially, Sony TV is not performing well in reality shows.
Whereas Zee is loosing its viewership in serials too. They both are not working for core audience. No surprise if Star Bharat left both of them behind.

Bro movie Rights always temporary any movie will move after 5 years anytime. every year Both Zee and Sony acquires more contents compared with Disney Star. Another big Disadvantage is Sony Pictures International studios Staying away from Sony/Culver Max.

What advantage '1 sports ' and Eurosport taking, why they don't buy cricket rights for WI, Bangladesh, New Zealand? which aren't renewed by Sony and star

Both 1Sports and Eurosport away from high budget Cricket Rights, still sometimes they acquires some association nation and League cricket for limited one season.

Sony mix was a best music channel, Sony Rox HD and Le Plex Hd were also good channels but distribution and marketing was not done properly

Without the merger at least one of them will get bought by a US Media Conglomerate.

The merger is happening because they will be able to provide a larger library with their streaming service and set the company nicely up for the future. The one with a large and good regional & international content only will be able to survive the streaming wars. SonyLIV produces premium OTT content while Zee5 makes mediocre to average OTT content combined with their regional library they could easily compete with global streaming players.

In my opinion Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Voot and SonyLIV will survive in the Indian streaming market and others like Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, Apple TV+, MX Player, Aha, Sun NXT, HBO Max, Paramount+ will find it hard to even get 3-5M paying subscribers.

No OTT will survive without local content in India, even HBO max with Discovery+, otherwise they will tie up with ISPs.
