Dish TV owned DTH operator d2h on Tuesday reduced the prices of its set-top boxes, bringing it down to as low as Rs. 1,499. The company has made an Rs. 100 price cut on both of its SD and HD set-top boxes.
As per a listing on the official website, the Digital SD set-top-box is now priced at Rs. 1,499 and the Digital HD set-top box is now having a price tag of Rs. 1,599. These prices are similar to Dish TV whose HD set-top box is currently priced at Rs. 1,590 and the SD variant costs Rs. 1,490.
Before this price cut, the d2h Digital SD set-top box was being sold at Rs. 1,599, while its HD set-top box was available at Rs. 1,699. The latest price revision made the cost of d2h HD and Tata Sky HD boxes equal. Tata Sky is selling both of its HD and SD STBs at the same price of Rs 1499.
Airtel Digital TV is currently providing cheapest new connections at Rs 1,100 for SD and Rs 1,300 for HD set-top box, while Sun Direct is selling SD box at Rs 1,799 and HD box at Rs 1,999. However, these prices don’t include monthly subscription charges whereas d2h is giving 1-month free subscription of Gold packs also with their new connections.
