DD Free Dish to hold 42nd e-Auction to fill up MPEG-2 Slots

Prasar Bharati is all set to hold the 42nd e-Auction process to fill up MPEG-2 slots of the DD Free Dish DTH platform. The satellite channels will be allotted from the period 01.12.2019 to 29.02.2020.

Prasar Bharati is all set to hold the 42nd e-Auction process to fill up MPEG-2 slots of the DD Free Dish DTH platform. The satellite channels will be allotted from the period 01.12.2019 to 29.02.2020.

The notice which was issued yesterday said that the slots will be allotted as per the procedure amended on 01.11.2019, which are available on the websites. The E-Auction if required will be held on 15.11.2019.

Only companies holding a license from the Ministry of I&B would be allowed to participate. International Public Broadcasters licensed by the Ministry can also participate. The TV channels have been categorized into different buckets in accordance with the genres/language of the channel .

A+ All GEC (Hindi) Channels 37625000
A All Movie (Hindi) Channels 31125000
B All Music(Hindi) Channels, Sports (Hindi) Channels, GEC(Bhojpuri), Movies (Bhojpuri) and Teleshopping (Hindi) channels 27375000
C News & Current Affairs (Hindi) Channels, News & Current Affairs (English) and News & Current Affairs (Punjabi) Channels 22375000
D All other remaining Genre (Language) Channels 15500000

The 1st installment has to paid in advance before the placement of the channel on DD Free Dish DTH Platform. The last date for submission of applications is 13.11.2019 latest by 3.00 P.M.
