Discovery Communications India is set to discontinue three bouquets of pay channels with effect from March 5, 2020. The company has also revised eight bouquets of pay channels. The new rates will apply from March 5, 2020.
Discontinuation of bouquets of pay channels
Discovery Communications India will discontinue SD Bouquet 4- Kids Infotainment pack, SD bouquet 8- Kids Infotainment (Tamil) pack, and HD bouquet 5- Kids Infotainment High Definition pack.
SD Bouquet 4- Kids Infotainment pack includes four channels- Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, and Discovery Kids. The bouquet is available for a monthly price of Rs. 6, excluding taxes.
SD Bouquet 8- Kids Infotainment (Tamil) pack includes five channels- Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Kids, and DTamil. The bouquet is available for a monthly price of Rs. 6, excluding taxes.
HD Bouquet 5- Kids Infotainment High Definition pack includes four channels- Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD World, TLC HD, and Discovery Kids. The bouquet is available for a monthly price of Rs. 8, excluding taxes.
Revision in the tariff of eight bouquets
Discovery Communications India has revised the price of eight bouquets- SD bouquet 1- Basic Infotainment pack, SD bouquet 3- Infotainment pack, SD bouquet 5- Basic Infotainment (Tamil) Pack, SD bouquet 7- Infotainment (Tamil) pack, HD bouquet 1- Basic Infotainment High Definition (Tamil) pack, HD bouquet 2- Basic Infotainment High Definition pack, HD bouquet 3- Infotainment Plus Sports High Definition pack, and HD bouquet 4- Infotainment High Definition pack.

HD bouquet 1- Basic Infotainment High Definition (Tamil) pack includes nine channels- Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD World, TLC HD, Discovery Kids, DSport HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo, and DTamil. The revised monthly cost of the bouquet is Rs. 12, excluding taxes.
HD bouquet 2- Basic Infotainment High Definition pack includes eight channels- Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD World, TLC HD, Discovery Kids, DSport HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery Science, and Discovery Turbo. The revised monthly cost of the bouquet is Rs. 12, excluding taxes.
HD bouquet 3- Infotainment plus Sports High Definition pack includes nine channels- Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD World, TLC HD, Discovery Kids, and DSport HD. The revised monthly cost of the bouquet is Rs. 10, excluding taxes.
HD bouquet 4- Infotainment High Definition pack includes six channels- Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD World, TLC HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery Science, and Discovery Turbo. The revised monthly cost of the bouquet is Rs. 11, excluding taxes.
Discovery communications have also written a letter for operators to extend the interconnection agreement. In the letter, Discovery communications wrote, “We refer to the interconnection / subscription agreement excluded between Discovery Communications India (DCI) and for the period commencing from 1st February 2020 (“Agreement”). We wish to inform you that the term, as mentioned under clause 2 in the agreement shall stand extended up to 29th February 2020 (said date included).”
