DTH Performance Report for February 2024

Let’s analyze the performance of Direct-to-home (DTH) operators for the month of February 2024. Starting with Tata Play which came up with the addition of 9 channels, followed by Airtel Digital TV with 7 new channels. Dish TV only added 1 new channel but removed 1 channel. On the other hand, D2H also added 1 channel but removed 3 channels from its platform.

Tata Play

Tata Play has added 9 channels to its platform. The additions made by Tata Play include 7 SD and 2 HD channels namely Jonak, Hornbill TV, HNN News, NE News, Chumbak TV, India Ahead, Swadesh News, Investigation Discovery HD, and Gemini Music HD.

In February, Tata Play has removed R Plus Gold from its platform. Besides their regular Jingalala Offers, Tata Play added Sports18-1 in Tamil Thalaiva HDS base pack and has increased pack prices by up to 10%. Tata Play has also made their most popular Tata Play+ HD PVR available at just Rs 799 to upgrade which was previously priced at Rs 4,499.

Airtel Digital TV

Airtel Digital TV has made 7 new channels available on their platform. The list contains Studio One+, Studio Yuva, Sony Sports Ten 4 HD, Sun Marathi HD, Pravah Picture HD, Asianet Movies HD, and Anime Booth (Service Channel).

During February, Airtel Digital TV did not remove any single channel from its platform. Airtel Digital TV has provided the Airtel Fitness Studio service channel for Re. 1 for the first 30 days.

Dish TV and D2H

Dish TV added DD Nagaland but removed Dhamaka Movies B4U from its platform. D2H, on the other hand, has made Colors Bangla Cinema available for its subscribers but on the other side, it removed Tamil Naaptol, Telugu Naaptol, and Music Active masala (Service Channel). D2H also provided Rangmanch Active service channel for Rs 2.19 for 7 Days.
