Kolkata based Multi System Operator (MSO) GTPL KCBPL has introduced E-KYC for its Cable TV and Broadband customers in a bid to allow the customers to help GTPL know it better. GTPL KCBPL customers can sign up the E-KYC from a dedicated microsite on the MSOs website.
The update came courtesy of our community forum member and GTPL KCBPL user Subherjeesr. The E-KYC is live on GTPL KCBPL’s dedicated micro site for E-KYC. One has to enter his/her STB No, Customer A/c No, Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile No, Address, State, District, and Area among the mandatory things. Rest details asked by GTPL KCBPL are not mandatory.
The E-KYC allows simplified due diligence for all and lets GTPL KCBPL know its customer well. GTPL KCBPL had also recently, urged its customers to pay online and go digital amidst the lockdown in the country. It allowed GTPL KCBPL customers pay with Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Wallet and UPI.
GTPL KCBPL website was also upgraded last year after TRAI had show caused it over the non-compliance of various provisions of the New Regulatory Framework for Broadcasting and Cable TV Services.
