Mumbai based cable television operator Hathway Bhawani Cabletel and Datacom Limited on Tuesday declared the financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2020. The cable operator posted a net profit of Rs 33.13 lakhs, down from the net profit of Rs 64.52 lakhs in the previous quarter ending March 31, 2020.

The consolidated revenue in Q1 FY 21 stood at Rs 117.02 lakhs, down from Rs 137.79 lakhs in Q4 FY 20. The total expenses in Q1 FY 21 stood at Rs 72.27 lakhs, up from Rs 63.59 lakhs in Q4 FY 20. The net profit in turn was affected as it came down from Rs 72.58 lakhs in Q4 FY 20, to Rs 44.75 lakhs in Q1 FY 21.
The revenue from operations remained the same but the decrease in other income led to the decrease in total income. The increase in expenses was due to the increase in operational expenses and employee benefit expenses. The decline in profit was majorly due to the decline in revenue in Q1 FY 21.
