The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is sitting on 23 TV licenses pending for more than a month at the end of Quarter 2 2019-20 according to the statistics provided by the ministry.
According to the statistics provided by the ministry, the number of TV licenses pending for more than a month with MIB has come down from 95 at the end of Quarter 1 2019-20 to 23 at the end of Quarter 2 2019-20.
Meanwhile, the number of TV licenses pending for more than a month with other ministry has risen from 48 at the end of Quarter 1 2019-20 to 58 at the end of Quarter 2 2019-20.
The number of TV licenses pending for more than a month with applicants has come down from 47 at the end of Quarter 1 2019-20 to 16 at the end of Quarter 2 2019-20.

DreamDTH had earlier last month reported that the ministry was sitting on 40 Satellite TV applications from 01 October 2018 and 30 June 2019. The earlier provided stats were from the period Q3 2018-19 to Q1 2019-20 and did not specifically carry data on TV licenses pending for more than a month. The ministry has in Q2 2019-20 processed many license applications along with name change approvals as reported by DreamDTH this week.
