The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today updated its database with the cancellation of Zee Entertainment’s ‘Zee ETC Bollywood’ satellite TV channel license. The cancellation comes almost 4 months after ZEEL pulled the plug on its trade bollywood channel on 17th October 2020.

The Ministry cancelled the satellite TV channel license terming the reason for cancellation as ‘Not Required’. The license was granted by MIB initially on 6th April 2009 to ZEEL to operate a NON-NEWS channel named ‘ZEE Bollywood’ which was subsequently renamed to ‘ETC Bollywood’.
