MIB grants TV license to Aadinath, Gujarat First 24*7 News, and 99 TV

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed three existing satellite TV channel licenses paving the way for the entry of Aadinath, Gujarat First 24*7 News, and 99 TV into the permitted satellite TV channels repository.

Bhole Baba Real Estate Developers Private Limited’s ‘Ahsas’ TV channel license has been renamed ‘Aadinath’. The TV license was initially granted on 26th February 2014 named ‘Daati Ahsas’ and subsequently renamed ‘Ahsas’ and now ‘Aadinath’.

The license is granted under the ‘Non-News and Current Affairs’ category with both uplinking and downlinking permission. The license is authorised to broadcast in all Indian languages and operates from Intelsat-20, a foreign satellite.

Sky News Media’ Private Limited’s ’99 Percent’ TV channel license has also been renamed ’99 TV’. The TV channel license was initially granted on 22nd March 2011 named ‘Channel No.3′ and subsequently renamed ’99 Percent’. The license is granted under the ‘News and Current Affairs’ category with both uplinking and downlinking permission. The license is authorised to broadcast in all Indian languages and operates from GSAT-30, an Indian satellite.

Lastly, Netlink Technologies Private Limited’s ‘Sky TV‘ TV channel license has been renamed ‘Gujarat First 24×7 News’. The license was initially granted on 25th June 2020 named ‘Sky TV’. The license is granted under the ‘News and Current Affairs’ category with both uplinking and downlinking permission. The license is authorized to broadcast in all Indian languages and operates from GSAT-30, an Indian satellite.

In other news, the Ministry recently granted permission to Viacom18 Media Private Limited to launch ‘Sports18 Khel’. Viacom18’s ‘My Cam’ TV license is believed to be renamed paving way for Viacom18 to launch ‘Sports18 Khel.
