India’s public broadcaster Prasar Bharati today invited applications for allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots of DD Free Dish DTH platform for the period starting from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022. The broadcaster has will hold the 3rd annual or 53rd e-auction process for MPEG-4 slots tentatively on 16th March 2021.
The bidding in the e-auction will be open to all genre and language channels at reserve price of Rs 50 laks per annum. The successful bidders have to pay the slot price in 10 monthly installments as per payment schedule prescribed under clause (5) of the policy guidelines for allotment of DD Free Dish slots.
Broadcasters have to mandatorily pay the Rs 25,000 non-refundable processing fee along with participation fee of Rs 10 lakh. The applications can be submitted latest by 3PM. The unsuccessful bidders will be returned the participation fee within three weeks after the declaration of the results of the e-auction.
“The slots will be allotted in accordance with policy guidelines for allotment of DD Free Dish slots, notified on 15.01.2019 and as amended vide amendment notified on 30.03.2019 & 01.11.2019 & 22.02.2021, which are available on the website,” read Prasar Bharati’s notice.
