Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Tata Play has added one Malayalam news channel “Shekinah” on 28th March 2024 at 10 AM. Tata Play has made this channel available on LCN 1856 under the Malayalam Regional category.
Owned by Shekinah Communications Limited, Shekinah is an Indian satellite news channel that broadcasts Christian spiritual programs, current affairs, and news in English and Malayalam languages throughout the day. The headquarters of Shekinah are in Kerala, India. The test transmission of this channel began on April 28th, 2019 and it was officially launched on October 8th, 2019.
Airtel Digital TV also offers Shekinah News on LCN 859. Currently, This channel isn’t available on Dish TV, D2H, and Sun Direct. Only Airtel Digital TV and Tata Play carry it on their platforms. Tata Play Subscribers can subscribe to Shekinah News for free of cost. Tata Play has also incorporated this channel into their FTA Complimentary Pack which means that Shekinah will get automatically enabled for those who have subscribed to this pack.
Earlier this month, Tata Play added Zee Telugu News on LCN 1477 and Zee Kannada News on LCN 1664. With this addition, Tata Play now carries a total of 108 High Definition (HD) and 578 Standard Definition (SD) channels, the most among other DTH operators. Tata Play has consistently fulfilled consumers’ needs by adding channels from various regions, of which Shekinah News is the latest example.
