DTH operator Tata Play has revised its prices for the Tata Play Binge Mega Plan. This pack offers a wide range of premium content from over 20 OTT platforms in one app, and has added two more OTT platforms, Travelxp and Shorts TV, to its list of offerings. With this update, the total number of apps in the plan has increased from 22 to 24.
The Tata Play Binge service is available on mobile devices, Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition, and the Binge+ Set Top Box. While the mobile app is available to all customers, the large screen format of the app on Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition and Binge+ Set Top Box is exclusive to Tata Play DTH customers.
The Binge Mega Plan offers a comprehensive range of content from top OTT platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Voot Select, SonyLIV, MX Player, Lionsgate Play, Eros Now, and many more. In addition to these platforms, the plan now includes subscriptions to two more OTT platforms, Travelxp and Shorts TV.
Apart from the addition of these two platforms and an increase in the number of apps included in the plan, Tata Play has also raised the price of the Binge Mega Plan from Rs 299 to Rs 349, with a Rs 50 hike in the cost, citing the availability of more benefits to the customers. While the increased price is a downside for some, the addition of two new platforms is sure to be a draw for many customers.
This move by Tata Play is aimed at providing its customers with a more comprehensive and diverse range of content to choose from, as well as keeping up with the competition in the OTT space. With the rise in popularity of OTT platforms, DTH operators like Tata Play are looking to expand their offerings and provide customers with a one-stop shop for all their entertainment needs.
