DTH operator Tata Play has made price cuts in its hybrid Android set-top box ‘Tata Play Binge+’ for both new customers and existing subscribers seeking upgrades or additional secondary connections.
For new customers making the switch to Tata Play, the price of the Tata Play Binge+ including outdoor unit, cables, dish, installation, etc. has been slashed from Rs 2,498 to Rs 2,199, marking a substantial Rs 299 price reduction.
The new Binge+ customers will also receive a complimentary one-month subscription to the Tata Play Binge Super Plan, valued at Rs 299, allowing them to access content from over 22 OTT platforms.
Existing Tata Play customers looking to add secondary connections or upgrade to the Binge+ box will also benefit from reduced prices. The cost for both Binge+ Multi TV and the upgrade to Binge+ has been lowered from Rs 2,098 to Rs 1,799, mirroring the Rs 299 price cut offered to new customers.
Multi TV refers to additional secondary connections for other televisions within the same household, all linked to the primary account. Whereas upgrading to Binge+ refers to swapping out the current SD, HD, or +HD DVR set-top box with the advanced Binge+ box.
The new prices are live on Tata Play’s official website and customers can place their order online. Customers either purchasing a new connection, opting for Multi TV, or upgrading will also get a one-year warranty starting from the date of set-top box activation.
