Tata Play (formerly Tata Sky) has launched a new and its cheapest Binge plan yet named ‘Binge Starter’ at Rs 49 per month for all its active customers. This new plan comes in addition to the previously available Basic plan at Rs 149 and Premium plan at Rs 299 per month.
The Binge Starter plan is aimed at budget users who don’t spend much on OTT apps. With this plan, subscribers get premium membership for Zee5, Shemaroo, Hungama Play and Eros Now. It will be charged directly from your DTH account.
Similar to other Binge plans, a user must keep their DTH connection active paying a minimum Rs 153 Network Capacity Fee (NCF) to continue getting OTT services. Customers with any type of Tata Play connection from SD to HD+ PVR can subscribe to the Binge plans.
All 4 OTT apps included in the Binge Starter plan can only be accessed via the Tata Play Binge app, users can’t stream content from included platforms on web, PC or any other screen. The Tata Play Binge app, however, can be installed on up to 3 devices with concurrent streaming.
The company promotes Tata Play Binge highlighting features like single bill payment for all entertainment services, all OTT platforms in a single app and the requirement of only one login credential. It is an OTT content aggregator similar to Airtel Xstream.
