Star awaits MIB approval to launch Star Sports 1 Kannada in place of Channel V
Star India is still awaiting the ministry of information and broadcasting’s (MIB) to launch Star Sports 1 Kannada, according to a source close to the development.
Star has given a name and logo change application to the MIB to launch Star Sports 1 Kannada. Since the approval has still not come, the broadcaster has issued a public notice stating that Channel V will continue to be available in its current form to all viewers.
“Star has applied for a name and logo change application to the MIB to launch Star Sports 1 Kannada in place of Channel V.
Since the approval has not yet been granted, it had to issue a fresh notice stating Channel V will be available in its current form,” the source said, on condition of anonymity.
