The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has coincidentally maintained the number of pending licenses at the end of February, March, April, and May 2020 at 112. The Ministry for the last three month has interestingly received and approved the same number of MSO license applications, keeping the number of MSO License pending constant.
The performance statistics revealed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) show that number of application received and approved have been in sync over the last 3 months in March, April, and May 2020.
In February 2020, the Ministry received 12 license applications and approved 14 pending license applications. As in March 2020, the Ministry received 6 license applications and approved 6 pending license applications.
As in April 2020, the Ministry received 2 license applications and approved 2 pending license applications. In May 2020, the Ministry received 6 license applications and approved 6 pending license applications. The names of the approved MSOs remain unknown as such since the Ministry hasn’t updated its Master database.
In other news, The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) is sitting on 68 TV license applications that have been pending with the Ministry for more than a month at the end of Quarter 4 FY 19-20, according to the performance statistics provided by it. The next set of statistics on TV license applications shall be available next month.
