The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) is currently sitting on 32 MSO applications at the end of February 2022, as per the information released by the Ministry.
The Ministry as of February 2022 received 309 MSO applications whereas as of January 2022 it had received 303 MSO applications. The Ministry has approved 213 MSO applications as of February 2022 since 2019-20 whereas as of January 2022 it had approved 202 MSO applications.
The Ministry as of January 2022 was sitting on 38 MSO applications whereas as of February 2022 it is sitting upon 32 MSO applications.

The Ministry recently ordered Multi-System Operators (MSOs) to immediately update their Set-Top Box (STB) seeding data in the Management Information System (MIS) of the ministry and also every six months regularly update it with the latest figures.Â
