Yesterday DreamDTH had reported that Tata Play has dropped its SD, HD new connection prices by Rs 200. Now Airtel Digital TV has also reduced its new HD connection cost by Rs 200.
The new pricing is live on Airtel’s website. ADTV HD set-top box was earlier being sold for Rs 1,850 but now customers can buy it at Rs 1,650. This price includes delivery, installation, STB, Remote, connecting cables, dish antenna and LNB.
While booking the connection, users have to recharge their Airtel DTH account with at least Rs 153 NCF or the price of their selected package. The STB comes with a standard 1-year warranty that allows free repair or replacement of connection parts in case of any fault.
Airtel HD STB is Rs 49 cheaper than Tata Play HD STB which costs Rs 1,699. The major difference between both STBs is that Airtel allows pause, play and record live TV via a USB flash drive but Tata Play does not allow recording on their HD boxes.
