Bharti Airtel yesterday reported the financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2020. Bharti Telemedia run Airtel Digital TV reported another very strong quarter on the back of a jump in ARPU by 21.3%. Airtel Digital TV’s revenue soared to Rs 7,448 million, witnessing a growth of 9.3% YoY on an underlying basis.

Airtel Digital TV’s revenue stood at Rs 7,448 million, up from Rs 6,035 million in the preceding quarter. The EBIDTA stood at Rs 5,041 million, up from Rs 3,648 million in the preceding quarter.
Airtel reported a strong customer addition in Q1 FY 21 despite COVID-19 seeing 226K net additions, down from 304K additions in the preceding quarter seeing a negative 25% Q-o-Q growth. Airtel Digital TV’s customer base now stands at 16.84 million customers, up from 16.6 million customers at the end of March 2020.
The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) stood at Rs 149, up from Rs 123 compared to the preceding quarter seeing a 21.3% growth Q-o-Q. The monthly churn stood at 1.3%, up from 1% at the end of March 2020.
