Bharti Telemedia run Direct-to-Home (DTH) operator Airtel Digital TV is continuing to build its momentum further strengthening its positioning in the DTH market. The company during the quarter added 485K customers to its Digital TV portfolio witnessing a strong customer addition.
The company’s base increased to 17.9 million at Q3 FY 21 end, up from 17.4 million at Q2 FY 21 witnessing a 2.8 percent Q-o-Q growth. The net additions in Q3 FY 21 at 485K saw 11.5 percent Q-o-Q decline compared to Q2 FY 21 wherein the net additions stood at 549K.
Airtel Digital TV’s ARPU remained stable at Rs 149 at Q3 FY 21 end, up marginally from Rs 148 at Q2 FY 21 end. The monthly churn stood at 1.4 percent, down from 1.5 percent at Q2 FY 21 end.
Total revenues stood at Rs 7,892 million, up from Rs 7,548 million at Q2 FY 21 end while EBIDTA stood at Rs 5,291 crore, down from Rs 5,351 crore at Q2 FY 21 end. The cumulative investments in Digital TV services stood at Rs 107,539 at Q3 FY 21 end.
