Comedy Central added a special logo animation to mark their farewell. Agarbatti and Garlands have arrived. 😭
This reminds me of something interesting. Despite technically showing American shows, Comedy Central has always been always deeply rooted in Indian culture, and never forgot its Indian values even when communicating with millennials/Gen Z. Here are some examples from past DreamDTH festive special logos/graphics. It makes me miss Comedy Central and its festive logos and graphics so, so bad. Alvida, dost!:cf2::verysad2:

These promos show once again just how brilliant Viacom18’s English GECs’ marketing is, and how much they know how to tickle the funny bone while blending Western humour with Indian sensibilities.

It will be an absolute shame if they’re axed upon the merger of Viacom18 and Disney Star. @Shiv Verma @iDJ @Prithi Deb you gotta agree with me on this one.

When Star World and UTV channels got axed, there were no announcements or goodbye messages, directly pulling out the plug. This scenario will happen with Star channels again.

This is the first time I've watched that channels announcing their death via social media postings and logo animations, I love that and it's so emotional at the same time. VH1, MTV Beats, and Comedy Central are connecting with their audiences for the last time by asking them to share their happy moments with the channel and their favourite shows. I watched Young Sheldon and only one episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S on Comedy Central and thought that I would continue to watch this show after the Ultra Marathon was over, but it never came back 😞. Star World introduced me to The Office back in 2020 and then CC acquired the rights. The Office, B99, and Parks & Recreation were my most fav shows on CC.

Love You Comedy Central!! I'm deeply grateful that I got goodies and merchandise which I will cherish forever. 🥲

Last but not least, @Abhinav @iDJ @Aksgr @Sivabhaskar @TUP bro's below is something precious that will bring a smile to your face.

Farewell to your our happy place 🥹🥲

Next I've strong feeling for Cineplex rebranding!
Star Gold Cineplex
Star Gold Bollywood*
Star Gold Superhits*
But, it'll make more sense to turn these* channels into HD to Romance and Thrill. And, Gold 2 into comedy. So, the list would look like,
Star Gold
Star Gold Cineplex
Star Gold Romance
Star Gold Thrill
Star Gold Comedy

Star Gold HD
Star Gold Cineplex HD
Star Gold Romance HD
Star Gold Thrill HD
Star Gold Comedy HD

Lest anyone forgets, this is the link to @Shiv Verma bhai winning the Comedy Central goodie contest.
In that I had written this, something that’s sadly come true now — a tragic ‘death’ just after becoming a ‘teenager’!
This is so all-around AWESOME. No wonder it’s the most-loved post of the week that hasn’t anything to do with the Disney Star and Viacom18 merger!

But I hope this farewell doesn’t turn out to be an actual farewell for Comedy Central — if the combined Disney Star/Viacom18 entity decides to axe its English GECs (as @Vadirocks reported) — given how much Comedy Central is loved by Indians.
