"MIB is likely redoing the whole thing," one source told ET, while others confirmed that it has been withdrawn and the Ministry is likely coming out with a revised note.

The way they are bringing these draconian bills, which will be made laws eventually, are dangerous for our future
What's wrong in creating guidelines? The existing law is past it's expiry - as it doesn't cover streaming / OTT under it. Which is now a primary thing and linear has taken a back seat. Plus, lot of digital channels are coming forth - which aren't in the gambit of Broadcasting Ministry. Plus, the technology is now allowing digital TV and radio transmissions - which too need regulation and guideline. So calling them draconian - is it really correct? Yes people who are spreading filth and propaganda against someone - needs a leash on them.

Have you seen the draft of the proposed (now taken back) bill?
