Not only broadcaster,DTH also wants.

Then why no one( dth or cable operator ) put these premium channels in packages?

Becoz they don't want.

Any idea why no one(from cable or dth) come forward to add these in base package?

No.If u know then tell me.

If no cable or dth is providing these channels in base pack that means broadcaster don't want it.

Broadcaster wants their premium channels as a la carte. Because, I think monthly subscription cost is very less in India compared to other parts of the world.

Whay should broadcaster bother if they are getting their alacarte price even if DTH puts it in any pack or reduces alacatre price? Even Dishtv has less price for HBO ad free channels as compared to others.

Suppose broadcaster want Rs 50 for their channel. Then as a service provider u have to option. Either hike base pack price or introduce channel as a la cartel. As first option is not acceptable so service provider is going after option 2. So if broadcaster are charging higher price that simply means they want their channels as a la carte

I think Dish is getting price protection due to agreement which was done before hike

There may be options like this. But what I mean to say is there in no point for broadcaster to force DTH to put channel as alacarte as far as they are getting their price.

Agree bro.

eg. That means even TS could add HBO ad free HD channels to higher pack say for mega pack users & pay broadcaster their demanded price. This will also increase viewership of the channels.
