Breaking 9 New Channels Launching By Star Network w.e.f. March 15

Still Disney-Star does not hold any TV Channel licence in name of Star Gold Thrills, have checked just few minutes back on Broadcastseva portal.

Reasons for delay r multifold
- Time being taken by DTH as well as Cable Operators to sign New RIO and implement other changes to comply with new Amended NTO 2.0 regulations or even some other things which may take some more weeks

- Disney-Star reevaluatuing plans on launch of new channels, shutting down or revamping/rebranding of some current channels and even awaiting certain approval or changes in TV Channels licence names from MIB

It's Not Necessary That Names Should Be Updated Before Launching Of Channels, Application Would Be Enough,,,

All DTHs Signed RIO By 10th Of February,,, (One DTH Even Gave Confirmation They Will Launch All Of Their HD Channels)

Cable Walas Doing One By One,,,

It's Only Star Who Is Holding Back For Unknown Reasons,,,

Anna, by names being updated i meant that broadcasters need to get approval/licence for concerned channel from MIB. Ofcourse there may be a delay in updating the names on broadcastseva portal.

Also be it Disney-Star or any other broadcaster when they plan to launch a new channel or shutdown an existing channel and replace it with a new channel then it would require for them to get onboard all DTH/Cable platforms to sign revised RIO agreement and implement the changes thereby launching the channels on their respective platforms. There is no point of 2 DTH and 3 Cable TV Platforms agreeing while others not, when majority agree then broadcasters decide to roll out changes officially.

Right now as i have DTH operators have signed New RIO agreement but are busy with implementation of lots of other changes while as we saw major MSO/Cable Operators were not ready to sign New RIO and just in last 24 hours some middle ground has been achieved but still court verdict on the dispute is awaited by both sides. Things will take time for issues to be properly resolved.

Also Disney-Star would certainly be also rethinking about their strategy to launch/rebrand/shutdown/revamp channels which again will take some time to be finalized

All in all these things combined would be causing delay
