This trend is showing fall of DTH over coming years and first to fall will be DishTVD2h then Airtel and then Tatasky. This pressure is seen with Airtel and Tatasky both reducing NCF of many packs as there are many not recharging thier STB.Reducing NCF directly affects thier profit margins.

DTH base downfall was imminent bcoz of multiple factors be it afford internet + OTT which lead to younger urban viewers disconnecting their DTH/Cable connections, popularity of DD Free Dish among economically weaker section or even lowe middle class audience and above all price increase by broadcasters which further added to the churn.

In the future DTH or Cable TV will continue to hold strong, families will subscribe to this mode for watching content and hybrid / smart boxes will also get more adoption by larger set of viewers across demographics/regions. If broadcasters reduce pricing of channels / bouquets then further DTH / Cable TV will see more people buying new connection, reactivating suspended connection and opting for more channels. Broadcasters should earn max revenue from ads barring few genres like sports which require mix of good subscription + ad revenue to be successful / financially viaable

Lastly ur statement that Dish d2h is seeming weaker in the DTH segment us somewhat right in current context or taking into account last 3 or 4 years. Tata Play has been holding strong while Airtel Digital TV has been gaining a lot on all fronts be it their SD/HD, XStream Box or even Airtel Black subscriber base. In future Tata Play and Airtel Digital TV will be neck to neck as far as numero uno spot in DTH Sector is concerned
