Amazing Facts (Ocean-Atlantic Ocean)

Facts of arctic ocean

Though the Arctic and the Antarctic may seem similar to many people, they are in fact poles apart. While the former is a continent surrounded by oceans, the later is an ocean surrounded by continents

And unlike Antarctic, which is a barren desert, the Arctic is teeming with life. The Arctic Ocean is located in the Arctic Circle and the most visible feature of it is that the Ocean is always covered in ice for most of the year Surprisingly, even though it looks barren, many creatures flourish here and the region is extremely rich in natural resources. As a result, humans have exploited the Arctic for centuries and the toll it had taken on the fragile environment is being increasingly apparent now

The ice cover is rapidly shrinking, which will have an adverse affect on the environment of the planet. The shrinking ice pack is leading to rise in global sea levels and ozone layer depletion

Scientists believe that if the present level of meltdown continues, then the Arctic Ocean would be ice-free by the next 4 to 5 decades disrupting ocean current patterns and leading to severe effect on climate change. Therefore, the survival of mankind depends a lot on the survival of this ocean

The Arctic Ocean is surrounded by Greenland, Alaska, Canada, Russia and Norway making it virtually landlocked

The Ocean is connected to the Pacific Ocean by the Bering Strait and the Atlantic Ocean by the Greenland Sea

At around 13,986,000 square kilometers, it is the smallest ocean in the world and is located around the North Pole.
At the bottom of the Arctic basin, there is always a pool of very cold water. This is because, though the Ocean is connected to the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, there is an exchange of surface water with the subsurface current bringing in warm water from the Atlantic Ocean (the strait connecting it to the Pacific Ocean is very shallow and narrow). However, the submarine ridges prevent the exchange of deeper water and so it remains cold

The deepest spot in the Arctic Ocean is the Eurasian Basin at 17,880 feet. The average dept of the Arctic Ocean is around 3406 feet

There are three types of ice that covers the Arctic Ocean—polar ice, pack ice and fast ice. Polar ice never melts completely and can be as thick as 50m in winter and as thin as 2m in summer. The ice at the edge of the polar ice is known as pack ice. Pack ice freezes completely only in winter. The ice formed around the pack ice and the land around the Arctic Ocean during the winter is known as fast ice

The Arctic Ocean remains covered by an ice cap for most of the year as its temperature rarely rises above the freezing point. The extent and thickness of the ice cap varies seasonally. From October to June, the ocean is virtually ice locked

The Arctic Ocean is full of life and has a fragile ecosystem. Marine life includes walruses, whales and jellyfish. The banded gunnel is the only species of gunnel, a type of fish, found in the ocean. The ocean is teeming with fish life and more fishes are found here than anywhere on the earth. Plant life is minimal except for phytoplankton, which is a crucial part of the ocean ecosystem

The ocean is also rich in natural resources. The region holds around 25% of the world’s undiscovered petroleum resources. Apart from petroleum and natural gas there is also abundance of placer deposits, polymetallic nodules, sand and gravel aggregates

The salinity of the Arctic Ocean varies seasonally depending on the melting and freezing of the ice cover. It has the lowest average salinity among all the oceans because of low evaporation, heavy inflow of freshwater and limited connection to other oceans

The North Polar Basin in the Arctic Ocean is divided into two oceanic basins—the Eurasian Basin and the Amerasian Basin. The two basins are further divided by ridges into Canada Basin, Makarov Basin, Fram Basin and Nansen basin

Some facts of bengali lauguage

Bengali is usually ranked about sixth in the world in terms of number of people who speak it as a first language, with approximately 200 million native speakers in Bangladesh and several states in India

Bengali typically has borrowed freely from the cultures and languages it is near, resulting in slight differences in vocabulary depending where you are

Bengali is often known as the second most beautiful language in the world after French

What’s interesting about the Bengali alphabet is that all the consonants have a vowel sound built-in. Diacritical marks are used when writing to change the default vowel sound
This can be utterly confounding to Westerners, because a word can be repeated several times with different marks and thus is pronounced differently each time, with a different meaning

Happily (for an English-speaker) Bengali does not have gendered nouns, but there is a lot of subtle inflection in spoken Bengali which can take some time to master

Verbs are especially difficult because they are heavily inflected, and the wrong inflection changes their case and your overall meaning (Some examples of this heavy inflection can be observed here: bn-conj-যাওয়া, bn-conj-হওয়া). This can be either hilarious or horrifying depending on the situation.
In the world of literature contribution of Bengali is no less than English or any other language

Rabindranath Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize for Gitanjali, which was written in Bengali

There are Bengali radio stations in different countries- India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, Japan, Germany, USA, Thailand, Philippines, Iran, etc.
International Mother

Language day is based on Bengali language

In 2002, Bangla was named an honorary official language of Sierra Leone in honour of the 5300 Bangladeshi troops who were part of the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping Force

Bengali is the secondary language of Karachi

The University of Karachi offers honours programmes in the Bengali language

Bengali is the language after which the International Mother Language Day is based

On 21st February 1952, several activists and students were killed near Dhaka University, during protests which were a part of the Bengali Language Movement, a cultural uprising to reclaim Bangla identity in East Pakistan

UNESCO honoured this incident by marking the 21st of February International Mother Language Day in 1997

The Shohid Minar (Martyr's Monument) in Dhaka was built of commemorate the same

National Anthem of India is written in Bengali

Bengali is often known as sweetest language

The new Bengali Language is only 200 years old

Lord Krishna

Krishna brought back the dead son of his Guru, Sage Sandipani and by this act he paid Guru Dakshina to his Guru

The actual body color of Krishna was dark and not blue

856fb7457a5411a97516c6b5d100ebb8.jpg

He also brought back the six dead sons of Devaki for a reunion who were the grandsons of Hiranakashyap and were suffering from a curse

The six sons of Devaki whom Kansa killed were actually the sons of Kansa. Kansa was Kalanemi in his earlier birth and was killed by Lord Vishnu. All the six sons of Devaki were the sons of Kalanemi in their previous births who were cursed by Hiranakashyap that they would be killed by their father. Thus Kansa killed his own sons only

The seventh son of Devaki was Balram and the eighth being Lord Krishna himself

Krishna had 16,108 wives. Out of which eight were princely queens and he had 80 sons in all. 10 sons from each of these eight wives

Krishna’s pairing with Radha is world famous but there is no mention of Radha anywhere in any of the Hindu scriptures, neither Mahabharta nor Bhagwada Gita

Radha Krishna

Ekalavya was originally a cousin brother of Krishna, son of Devsharava (brother of Vasudeva). When he sacrificed his right thumb as a Guru Dakshina asked by his Guru Dronacharya, Krishna blessed him with a reincarnation boon to take revenge from Dronacharya. And he was the only one who killed Dronacharya in Mahabharata

He name in Mahabharata was Drishtadyumna.

The first person who told Karna about the secret of his birth was “Lord Krishna”.
Rukmini, the wife of Lord Krishna is considered to be an avatar of Goddess Laxmi

The narration of Bhagwada Gita was firstly not only heard by Arjuna, it was also heard by Hanumana and Sanjay at the same time

Pradyumana, the son of Lord Krishna was Kamdeva who was turned into ashes in his earlier life by Lord Shiva

Draupadi meant a lot to Krishna. She is also believed to be his true lover and a fast friend. He loved and protected her like a true friend forever.

LORD KRISHNA teachings:

HAVE FAITH IN KARMA

The most important teaching of Krishna is the philosophy of “Karma”. He teaches us to be consistently good in all our duties without worrying about the fruits we will get out of it. The job of humans is to just perform their duties honestly and should always try to deliver their best in whatever they are doing. The results will be automatically excellent then when you will put your heart and soul into something without worrying about the outcomes

JUST LIVE IN PRESENT

Lord Krishna teaches us to always live in present. He says one should always focus only and only on the present happenings of his life and should not at all repent over the past or worry about the future because both the situations are not in his control. Whatever has happened no matter how much you weep over that, it is not going to change now and for a better future you should concentrate on your present. Worrying in any case is not going to help you out and will just spoil your present too. Like do never feel sorry about your previous job no matter how bad it was because you cannot change anything about it, instead concentrate on your present job to make your future better

NEVER BE PROUD OF YOUR ASSETS:

Always remember that whatever belongs to you today belonged to someone else in the past and may belong to someone else in the future so we should never be proud of any of our materialistic properties because you can never predict the circle of time. Example, the same bird which eats ants when she is alive is eaten by the same ants when she is dead. Live a good life by helping others and understanding them instead of underestimating anyone because everyone is a child of God and is made up of same five elements.

BE GENUINE AND EQUAL IN EVERY SITUATION:

Another teaching which Lord Krishna teaches us to be always uniform in our actions. Remember God is omnipresent and is almighty, he knows everything and you can never hide your actions from Him. No matter if anyone is watching you or not you should be honest in your action. Example people tend to do wrong activities like stealing and other things if no one is around, which is completely wrong in the eyes of God because he is watching you and will punish you for unkind actions

ALWAYS GO WITH THE RIGHT THINGS:

This teaching of our dear God Krishna is the much needed of present times when there is so much of corruption in the world. It happens frequently that if the criminal is a relative of any big personality or himself is a VIP he gets the bail or is released. This practice has slowly killed our morals. Though we are not wrong, but if we are rescuing a criminal we are completely doing injustice to the victim and above that to the law which has been made to protect the innocent people and punish the wrong ones. Even if your relative or a friend is wrong you should make him realize his mistake and make him regret over it. As in “Mahabharata” Lord Krishna himself teaches Arjuna to be against his cousin brothers and defeat him anyhow in the battleground because they (Kauravas) were wrong and Pandavas were fighting against the evil. No matter against whom you are fighting, good should always win at the end and evil should die

51dd6aac8f61d72707ad33510d42ba08.jpg

Lord Krishna says that the worry of results and benefits weaken your performance level as they divert your concentration. Like preparing for any of your exams is just your duty, do it with all your passion and dedication and no one can stop you from achieving brilliant results. Worrying about the exams will only waste your time and will destroy you
