Astra 1E is now@108 degree east

Dear friends, Astra 1E has arrived to 108 degree east. Hope for new channels by using Airtel dish.:c

Well yes. It was moving from nov 2012...but dint know it wud end up reaching 108E. Very gud news for airtel....some more channels can be caught now.

Good news but flysat say it is still moving (Astra 1E @ (moving 1.4°E/day) so what is the source friend vijay

Jatt bro...there are news articles..stating the fact that astra1e has indeed arrived at 108e. Generally thewe sat sites like flysat n lyngsat take a lil bit of time to update

It isn't for airtel use.
But we can get some FTA channels in astra in FTA boxes.

Well.. I Dont think so that we ll see any channels now. It will be more of a backup satellite to ses7 I guess. Astra is Ses astra. This sat launched in 1995 and had a life cycle of 14 years which has already expired. So I dont think so any new channels wud be added.
